Arabuko Sokoke is a few kilometres inland, between the towns of Kilifi and Malindi, 110 km north of Mombasa. It is the largest existing fragment of the tropical forests that once covered much of the East African coast and is an important habitat for endemic/endangered birds, insects and mammal species. 

A reserve to protect the coastal vegetation north of Lamu and good for elephants. 

South west of Nairobi and accessed from Mtito Andei an area of recent volcanic action.

Next to Meru National Park an extensive hot and dry reserve that is remote and rarely visited.

An area of woodland close to Lamu on the coast with a chance to see elephants, lion and leopard. 

Hell's Gate National Park lies to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, North West of Nairobi.  The park which is mainly comprised of savannah ecosystem habours a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the frequently observed animal species include lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

The park lies in Central Kenya, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos, White Rhino, buffaloes and a variety of birds.

Laikipia lies in the northern part of Kenya and is a wild sparsely populated area with a number of large private ranches.

Kakamega is accessed via Kakamega which is reached from Kisumu. An equatorial forest with big trees and wet undergrowth provides a habitat for monkeys and bird life.

A small conservation area located just off the main Naivasha to Nakuru road that is home to zebras, hippos, impalas and other animals.

The Kora National Park comprises of an area of a little over 1700 km2. Pristine wilderness, Inselbergs, Tana River with Adamson's Falls, Grand Falls and Kora rapids, diverse birdlife George Adamson's grave.

The park lies between Chanoni Point and Leopard Point and protests the coral reefs that are easy to view. 

The Marsabit National park lies in northern Kenya, about 560km north of Nairobi in Marsabit district. The park comprises of densely forested mountain and three crater lakes. wildlife attractions include the African elephant, the endangered Grevy’s zebra, lion, leopard, buffalo, bushbuck, large herds of greater and lesser kudus, common zebra, Grant's gazelle and many other small antelopes.

This world famous game park is part of the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem in south western Kenya. A visit to the Mara is likely see the "Big Five", the elephant, rhino,lion,buffalo and leopard. 

Meru national park is 85 km east of Meru. It is a low lying semi arid park. The Tana river is home to hippo crocodile and a variety of animals.

A small marine park 13 km from the city. 

Mt. Kenya National Park is located to the east of the Great Rift Valley, about 175km North-East of Nairobi. Elephants, tree hyrax, white tailed mongoose, suni, black fronted duiker, mole rat, bushbucks, water buck and Elands. Animas rarely seen include leopard, bongo, giant forest hog and rhino.

Mt. Elgon is located 420 kms from Nairobi. Access is via tarmac road to Kitale. Elephant, leopard, giant forest hog, bushbuck, buffalo, duiker, black and white colobus, blue monkeys and golden cat, among others.

A small reserve 200 km south of Nairobi where the Tana and Thiba rivers meet. Accommodation at the Masinga Dam Lodge (020 341781). 

The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city centre. The savannah ecosystem comprise of different vegetation types. wildlife attractions are the Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elands and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.

Ndere Island, National park covers  an area of 4.2 km2 is an island just off the northern shore of Lake Victoria and was opened in November 1986.

The Ol Donyo Sabuk national park is located about 85km north-east of Nairobi in Machakos district of Eastern province. Buffalo and bushbuck, leopard, olive baboon, colobus monkey, vervet monkey, Sykes' monkey, Kirk's dik-dik, bush pig, common duiker, reedbuck, rock hyrax, bush-baby, tree and ground squirrel, aardvark,  porcupine, mongoose, python and monitor lizard. 

North west of Garissa, very remote, very wild hot dry bush country. 

The Park lies in Western Kenya close to the shores of Africa’s largest inland lake, Lake Victoria. Roan antelope, leopard, buffalo, hyena, Rothschild's giraffe, oribi, Jackson and lelwel hartebeest, impala, bohor reedbuck, serval cat,  topi, baboons, vervet monkey, honey badgers, bush pig and many more.

The park is located at 385km from Nairobi and 27 km from Kitale town in Trans-Nzoia District of Rift Valley Province. wildlife species commonly found in the swamp include the Sitatunga, a semi-aquatic antelope, Otter, Genet cat, Serval cat, mongoose, bushbuck and monkeys.

Samburu and Buffalo Springs are two reserves that are linked together and about 300 km north of Nairobi. You can see gerenuk, Somali ostrich and the reticulated giraffe, and dik-dik. Crocodile are found on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. Elephant can be sighted, as well as leopard, lion, oryx and cheetah.

Shaba is in the north of Kenya close to Samburu and is a dry arid landscape.

This reserve is 40km south of Mombassa and inland from Diani Beach. It consists of rolling hills and grasslands and was established to protect the Sable antelope.

The park lies on the northeastern shore of Lake Turkana in northern Kenya, about 800km from Nairobi. wildlife including common zebra, giraffe, hippos, crocodile and numerous bird species such as flamingos, pelicans and ducks.

Nearly 1000 km from Nairobi on the Eastern shore of lake Turkana makes this a very remote National Park.

A private reserve just north of Nyeri that has been successful at breeding the black rhino. 

This is a very remote reserve in the north of Kenya.

Located 250km north of Mombassa on the Malindi to Garissa road, a forested area alongside the Tana river, for Red Colobus monkey and other monkeys. 

A 70 metre high waterfall just outside the town of Nyahuru with good trekking beneath he waterfalls.

The park is located on south eastern Kenya, 240km from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway. wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.  

The park is 24 kms south of Malindi and 130km north of Mombassa. Interesting  tree caves at the entrance to Mida Creek.
